Nagpur: The Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has extended his greetings to the people in district on the occasion of Vijayadashami and Dhammachakra Pravartan Din.
“The day marks the victory of good over evil. Vijayadashami is celebrated with Simholonghan. There is tradition of people meeting each other to maintain social harmony. The importance of Vijayadashami which is also known as Dussehra increases as on this day the Dalit icon Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar took Deeksha of Boudha Dharma along with lakhs of his followers. The city celebrates Dussehra and Dhammachakra Pravartan Din together harmoniously,” Bawankule said in his greetings.
