Nagpur : Two youth were killed in a road mishap in Wardhaman Nagar area under jurisdiction of Lakadganj police station during early hours of Sunday.
The duo were returning homeona two-wheeler(MH-49/AB2637) when a trailer brushed against the leading to the gory mishap, said police. The trailer, as per information, was ferrying material for ongoing Metro work and the accident occurred at 1.30 am. The duo were Horilal Verma (28), a resident of Lane no. 1, Market Square, Dipti Signal, and Naresh Shahu (33), Gopal Nagar Square, Dipti Signal.
Police said that the trailer dashed against the two-wheeler due to which the duo fell down on the road and came under the wheels and were crushed to death on the spot. Passers-by noticed the mishap and informed the police who rushed to the spot.
The mishap occurred in front of Khodiyar weighing scale office on Wardhaman Nagar railway crossing to Power House Square. Police have booked driver of the trailer for negligence.
