
Nagpur: Traffic on the Hinduhṛidayasamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Mahamarg will be partially and temporarily suspended in phases over the next four days due to technical and maintenance works at multiple locations in Amravati district, the administration has informed.
The traffic blocks will be implemented in 10 phases between January 9 and January 13, during which vehicular movement will be completely halted for short durations at identified stretches in the Dhamangaon (Chandur Railway taluka) and Nandgaon Khandeshwar areas.
Schedule of traffic blocks
• January 9:
Traffic heading towards Mumbai will remain completely closed from 3 pm to 4 pm near Manjarkheda village (chainage 120.300) and Dhotra village (chainage 125.400) in Chandur Railway taluka.
• January 10:
Mumbai-bound traffic will be suspended from 12 noon to 1 pm near Khambala village (chainage 130.400) in Chandur Railway taluka.
• January 12:
Traffic moving towards Nagpur will be blocked from 3 pm to 4 pm near Shahapur Khekdi village (chainage 145.200) in Chandur Railway taluka.
On the same day, Nagpur-bound traffic will also remain closed from 3 pm to 4 pm near Pachod village (chainage 140.500) in Nandgaon Khandeshwar taluka.
• January 13:
Mumbai-bound traffic will be suspended from 12 noon to 1 pm near Deulgaon area (chainage 150.300) in Nandgaon Khandeshwar taluka.
Additionally, traffic towards Mumbai will again be blocked from 12 noon to 1 pm near Shahapur Khekdi village (chainage 145.200).
Advisory for motorists
The administration has advised motorists travelling on the Samruddhi Expressway during this period to plan their journeys in advance, keep the traffic restrictions in mind and use alternative routes wherever possible to avoid inconvenience.
Traffic police and expressway authorities will be deployed at the affected locations to ensure smooth traffic management and public safety during the maintenance work.
