Muslims all over the globe celebrate Eid al-Fitr, also known as Eid Ul-Fitr or Meethi Eid or generally called Eid, indicating the culmination of the holy month of Ramzan. Eid al-Fitr is celebrated on the first day of Shawaal, the tenth month of the Islamic calendar, after the new crescent moon is sighted on the 29th or 30th of Ramzan.

As per the Central Government’s holiday calendar, May 3 has been marked as a holiday for Eid al-Fitr, however, the celebration will depend on the sighting of the new moon only.
