Three youths chased down trickster who duped them

Nagpur: Minutes after realizing of being cheated by a trickster, three youths immediately chased down the accused and handed him to Railway police. Shribhan Singh, 18, Subhaklal Singh and Shivanlal Singh, both 21, were waiting for their train at central railway station on Wednesday when the accused Narayan Malviya befriended with them and duped them.

The youths, hailing from Singroli, told police that they were heading to Latur in search of a job. While they were waiting for their train to come, Malviya, 42, a resident of Multai befriended with them. He confirm the trio whether they are new to city by asking one of them. Later, after having tea and snacks with them, he asked them to show their railway tickets. The youths showed them general tickets of Satna-Solapur. Malviya told them that they have bought wrong tickets and assured that he will help them to buy proper ticket. He took Rs 1000 from all three and bought some tickets from the counter.

The youths informed that Malviya handed over them three tickets and returned the left over amount of Rs 200 before leaving the place. On further checking the tickets, the trio realized that Malviya has given them platform tickets instead of train tickets. All three searched for Malviya and chased him down at platform no.1.

Railway police registered a case and Malviya will be produced in the court on Friday.
