Three persons killed in separate road accidents in city

Three persons were killed in separate road accidents on Thursday.

In the first incident, an unidentified person riding a Discover motorcycle (MH-31/ES 1028) was hit by speeding truck (MH-34/AB 8205) near Kachore Lawn Road, Manish Nagar around 7.50 pm on Thursday. The impact left the motorcycle rider seriously injured. He died on the spot before any medical help could be provided to him. On being informed, Sonegaon cops reached the spot and sent body of the unidentified victim to GMCH for post-mortem.

Sonegaon PSI Wadatkar, on the basis of information, booked the truck driver Vikram Kisan Nalawade (24) of Satara District under Sections 279, 304(A) of IPC and arrested him.

A truck driver himself got killed when the truck he was driving collided head on with another truck on Wardha Road.

The victim, Rafiq Khan Nasib Khan (48), resident of Taj Nagar, driving his truck (MH-40/N 7922), was going towards Wardha. When Rafiq reached near Chinchbhavan Flyover, he changed the lane and collided his truck with another truck (HR-38/ H 4244) head on. The collision left Rafiq dead on the spot.

API Shende, based on a complaint, has booked the deceased truck driver under Sections 279, 304(A) of IPC and probing the matter further.

In the third incident, a Maruti car knocked a pedestrian dead in Jaripatka area around 10.45 pm on Thursday. The deceased Pradeep Ramratan Baghel (27), native of Madhya Pradesh, had come to Nagpur for some work. Pradeep was going towards Uppalwadi, Kamptee Road, walking. At the same time, a Maruti Car (MH-31/AG 17), driven recklessly by Vikas Devrao Tembhurne (20) of Yadav Nagar, hit him. The seriously injured Pradeep was rushed to Mayo Hospital. However, doctors there pronounced him ‘brought dead.’

Jaripatka PSI Atram registered an offence against the car driver Vikas under Sections 279, 304(A) of IPC and arrested him.
