Nagpur: Three brothers, with nefarious design in their mind, duped a woman to the tune of Rs 14 lakh in a land deal. The accused brothers took the staggering amount from the woman but sold the land to another person.

The three accused brothers Vishwanath Bala Nandurkar, Eknath Bala Nandurkar and Rajeshwar Bala Nandurkar, all residents of Chitnis Nagar, Nagpur, own a farm land. But the farm land has gone into a dispute and the matter is pending in court since 27.9.2004.

However, the accused brothers kept the woman Rekha Rajesh Sakhore (45), resident of Ramna Maroti Nagar, in dark about the dispute over the farm land and court case. The accused negotiated a deal with Rekha and prepared a sale agreement in her name. The accused brothers later took Rs 10 lakh cash and Rs 4 lakh through cheque from Rekha Sakhore for the land deal. But instead of making a sale deed in Rekha’s name the accused brothers sold the farm land to another person and also prepared Registry in that person’s name. With this double deal, the accused duped Rekha to the tune of Rs 14 lakh.

Nandanvan PSI Thakur, acting on a complaint lodged by Rekha, registered an offence against the three accused brothers under Sections 420, 34 of IPC and investigating the matter further.
