Thieves strike at godown in Wadi; steal away oil, tyres worth Rs 1.3 lakh

Wadi police have booked unidentified thieves for decamping with 210 litre lubricant oil and 12 tyres after breaking open the godown of Maharashtra Petroleum Co-operative. The theft took place between June 28 and June 30..

Police sources said Juglu Sureshchandra Agrawal (40) locked the gates of Maharashtra Petroleum Co-operative godown and left for his house last Saturday.. Meanwhile, some unidentified thieves barged into the company by breaking open the gate lock and stole 210 litre lubricant oil worth Rs 50,000 and 12 tyres of Hydrogen Birla Company worth Rs 80,000 collectively worth Rs 1.30 lakh.

When he returned to godown on Monday, he was shocked to see the missing oil and tiers. On the basis of his complaint, Wadi police have registered an offence under Sections 454, 457, 380 of the IPC
