Thieves flee with booty worth Rs 5 lakh in separate cases

Unidentified goons looted Rs 1.50 lakh cash, gold and silver ornaments collectively worth Rs 5 lakh in two separate incidents on Thursday. In the first incidence, Pappu alias Shahzad Siddique (31), a resident of Peak Palace, Wardhaman Nagar locked his house at around 8.30 pm and went out with his family. Few unidentified goons gained entry in the house by breaking open the lock. They looted cash, gold and silver ornaments collectively worth over Rs 4 lakh.

On the complaint of Shahazad, Lakajganj Police registered a case of house-breaking theft against the thieves.

In another incidence, unidentified thieves looted Rs 50,000 cash, gold and silver ornaments collectively worth Rs 70,000 from the house of Javed Sheikh Abdul Hafiz Sheikh (25), a resident of Plot No. 87, Akhil Bharatiya Society, Smriti Nagar. Javed had gone to his village with his family. When Javed came home after the vacations, he discovered the theft. He lodged a complaint with Koradi Police Station. Cops registered an offence against the unidentified thieves under relevant sections of IPC. Further investigations are under way.
