Teenager murders 20-yr old boy over money in Ajni area, arrested

Nagpur: A dispute over money led to a daylight murder of a 20-year old boy by a teenager. The spine-chilling incident occurred on Sunday afternoon in Ajni area. The accused murderer has been arrested.

According to details, the complainant Rakesh Ahirwar (18), resident of Ramteke Nagar, Ajni, told police that he had borrowed money from the accused Mayur Vijay Savarkar (18) while playing cards with him last week. Thereafter, Mayur used to demand the lent money from Rakesh.

On the incident day, Sunday afternoon, the accused Mayur lost his cool when Rakesh failed to return his money despite repeated demands and started hurling abuses in choicest words. When the matter threatened to take a major brawl, Rakesh’s elder brother Dilip alias Golu  Shyamchandra Ahirwar tried to intervene and pacify the accused Mayur, resident of the same area.

However, Dilip’s attempt proved fatal for him as the enraged Mayur attacked him with a knife and stabbed him on head, neck, stomach and at other body parts. As a result of ghastly attack, Dilip collapsed and died on the spot. After the murderous assault, the accused Mayur fled the spot but was later apprehended by Ajni cops.

Ajni API Gawande, based on a complaint filed by Rakesh Ahirwar, booked the accused Mayur Savarkar under Sections 302, 504 of IPC and probing the case further.
