Teenaged boy killed in mishap after hitting college girl

Nagpur News: A speeding motorcycle driven by a 15-year-old boy skidded off on Thursday night leading to the death of the rider and injuring a college girl who came in the way of the skidding bike. Another youth riding pillion to the deceased was also seriously injured in the accident, the police informed.

According to information, the accident took place at around 8 pm in front of Pariwar Apartment, LAD Square, Gandhi Nagar under Ambazari Police Station area. Police said, the deceased has been identified as Harsh Pramod Gupta (15), a resident of Gandhi Nagar.

Sources said, Harsh and his friend Kartik Aasarkar (14), were going on their Passion Pro bike (MH 31 CY 6469) when he lost the control of his speeding bike and hit a college girl Roopali Naukarkar (23) who was crossing the road with her friend Neha Nandekar. Harsh’s bike sikkded off with the impact and they fell down. Neha and Roopali are residents of Maitri Hostel, Gandhi Nagar, the police said.

The injured were rushed to Wockhardt Hospital but the doctors declared Harsh dead while Kartik and Roopali who were also seriously injured in the accident are undergoing treatment.

On the complaint of Neha, Ambazari cops registered a case of rash driving under Sections 279, 337, 304 (a) of the IPC.
