Nagpur: A 17-year old girl was raped in her own house in Dhantoli area here on Wednesday morning. The accused rapist first threatened to kill her and then exploited the girl sexually. The accused has reportedly been arrested.

A resident of Takiya, Dhantoli, the teenage girl was alone in her house on Wednesday. Taking advantage of the situation, the accused Jai Sheetalprasad Shahu (22), resident of same area, entered the girl’s house forcibly around 11.45 am and locked the door from inside. When the helpless girl protested, the accused Jai Shahu threatened to kill her and then raped her.

Dhantoli Woman PSI P Wagh, based on the complaint of the rape survivor, booked the accused Jai Shahu under Sections 452, 376, 506(B) of the IPC read with Section 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act and reportedly arrested him.
