Nagpur: A 19-year old boy was crushed to death and two others injured as the tractor trolley they were travelling in met with a mishap and overturned in Hingna police area on Wednesday evening. The tractor driver has reportedly been arrested.
A native of Mozri, Amravati, Sukhram Suklal Jamunkar (36), presently staying at Deoli Sawangi, Hingna, along with brother Motiram Suklal Jamunkar (40) and son Vikrant Sukhlal Jamunkar (19) were travelling on a brick-laden tractor (MH-31/G/8202) and trolley (MH-31/G 0512). The driver of the tractor Pravin Prakash Morwal (43), resident of Kanholibara, was driving the tractor recklessly.
Near the gate of Megha Company, Pravin lost control and the tractor overturned. As a result, Sukhram, Motiram and Vikrant were crushed under a heap of bricks. Sukhram escaped with minor injuries but Motiram and Vikrant suffered grievous injuries. Vikrant died on the spot while Motiram is battling for life in a hospital.
Hingna Woman PSI Somvanshi, based on Sukhram’s complaint, booked the tractor driver Pravin Morwal under Sections 279, 337, 304(A) of the IPC read with Section 184 of Motor Vehicles Act and reportedly arrested him. Further investigation is underway.
