Wondering what Shrinkhala 2017 is all about? It’s an exclusive shopping fiesta showcasing Indian handicrafts – clothes , accessories, footwear, artefacts along with authentic cuisine and is a complete treat for Nagpurkars.

The 3-days exhibition-cum-sale, organized by Janmanch Yuva, will be held on January 13, 14 and 15 at Sanman Lawns, Bajaj Nagar. Janmanch Yuva, the youth wing of Janmanch, has returned with their second edition of ‘Shrinkhala’ to expose hidden rural talent to urban population.

Showcased, will be items of handicrafts, textiles, food and food products, the difference being that most of these products will be those made by rural people of Vidarbha. The artisans and talented persons, hitherto hidden in our villages and not having the wherewithal to come to big cities to sell their ware will be given space by way of various stalls at Sanman Lawns in Bajaj Nagar. The dates for the event are January 13, 14 and 15 to coincide with the ‘Sankrant’ festival.

The village artisans will not only be given this space free of charge, but the really needy will be given accommodation too at the MLA guest house for the period. Connoisseurs who will be visiting this fair will get to not just view and purchase artifacts unique to rural India, they will also get to taste cuisine like jhunka bhakar and puran poli among other items cooked in the authentic Warhadi way.
