Chandrapur: A sub-adult tiger was found dead in Ratnapur beat under Sindewahi forest range on Sunday afternoon. Official sources claimed that the body was around three-four days old. Although autopsy could not confirm the cause of death, forest officials suspect of death in territorial fight.
Local forest guard found the carcass during routine patrolling and informed superior officers. CCF Vijay Shelke said that valuable body parts like canine and nails of tiger were intact. As body parts had decayed, they were recovered from the maggot ridden petrified meat of tiger.
