Students can give NEET entrance upto age of 25, All India Quota to increases seats by 300 to 350

Nagpur/Delhi: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has finally released the official admission notification for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for undergraduate courses. The students from all over the country had been waiting since long. Now it is clear that the students must be in the age group of 17-25 years as on the date of exam (upper age limit is 30 years for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH category). Open school and private students are not eligible for the exam. Open school and private students can challenge the notification in the court. The students sppearing for 12th with additional Biology are not eligible.

As the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have decided to join and contribute their MBBS/BDS seats for the allotment to the candidates under 15% All India Quota from the academic year 2018-19 onward, the candidates belonging to these States shall also be eligible for 15% All India Quota seats. With this the nearly 300 to 350 seats to increase in All India Quota.

Online registration for the exam will be open till 9 March 2018 (up to 23.50 hours). The entrance exam will be held on May 6. Candidates can deposit the exam fee of Rs1400 (Rs 750 for SC/ ST / PH candidates) till 10 March 2018 (up to 23.50 hours). According to Career Counsellor Aadhaar number is mandatory for NEET 2018 registration. The students can get help from the common service centre or facilitation centre while filling in the form.
