State sanctions Rs 10.17 crore for police housing in Nagpur rural areas, other works

The Home Department has directed the Managing Director of Police Housing and Welfare Board to immediately disburse the Rs 10.17 crore fund sanctioned by State Government for houses of police officials and other personnel working Nagpur rural areas and for other development works.

The amount was sanctioned after efforts put in by Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule. Under the fund, Rs 2.42 crore would be disbursed for 12 houses of officials and personnel of Mouda Police Station, Rs 7.50 crore for houses under Khapa Police Station, Rs 1.71 lakh for a Police Post and four houses of police personnel at Kanholibara under Hingna Police Station, Rs 19.74 lakh for constructing administrative building at Palgaon under Kuhi Police Station, and Rs 6.96 lakh for building Children Care Centre of women police personnel under Katol Police Station.

Similarly, Children Care Centre at Kondhali is being built at Kondhali at a cost of Rs 6.88 lakh. Rs 5 lakh each are to be spent for construction of “Women’s Desk” under Kamptee, Veltur and Mouda Police Stations. Other development works are also to be carried under various police stations at a cost of over Rs 74 lakh.
