Nagpur: Garima Singh from Nagpur won a gold medal in the recently held Maharashtra State Boxing Championship in Jalgaon. Garima won the yellow metal in the Under-13 girls 42-44 kg weight category by blanking her opponent Asawari Shendge from Satara 5-0.

She gets training from coaches Ganesh Purohit, Yogesh Mishra and Pintu at Mankapur Stadium in Nagpur. Garima is only the second girl from Nagpur who has been selected for Delhi Sports School for further training.
