State approves Rs 13.58 crore for police housing in Nagpur Rural areas

The State Government has sanctioned Rs 13.58 crore for construction of residential quarters for policemen in Nagpur Rural. The houses and administrative buildings will be built at Tehsil places and villages along the National and State Highways. The fund has been handed over to PublucWorks Department for undertaking the construction as soon as possible.

Special efforts taken by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule bore fruits as the fund was made available by the State Government. 12 residential quarters for police officers and personnel of Mauda Police Station will be constructed at Mauda at the cost of Rs 2.53. Similarly, Rs 7.50 crore have been sanctioned for construction of 12 quarters in Khapa, Rs 1.71 crore for Hingna police station, Rs 19.74 lakh for administrative building in Kuhi and Rs 64.63 lakh for a new building in Kalmeshwar for storing records and seized goods.

A child care centre will be constructed at Katol at the cost of Rs 7 lakh. Similar centres will also be constructed at Kondhali and Veltur at the cost of Rs 7 lakh and Rs 5 lakh respectively. The Rural police have planned five women desks at Kamptee, Veltur, Kuhi, Umred and Mauda and Rs five lakh each will be given to these police stations for construction and infrastructure work.
