Nagpur: In a first, SNDL has initiated a pioneering move by which consumers can give a ‘missed call’ on 18001021825 in the event of disruption of power supply. The move by the power distribution franchisee comes after a number of complaints that consumers had to wait for long for getting connected to the call centre. Now, a ‘missed call’ can redress the power supply complaints of consumers.

The initiative “No-Power Complaint through Missed Call” was launched at function organised by SNDL at Vidyut Bhavan near Katol Post on Friday, September 1. The State Energy Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule dedicated the facility. Other dignitaries present on the occasion include MLAs Dr Milind Mane, Vikas Kumbhare, Mayor Nanda Jichkar, MSEDCL Regional Director Khandait, Chief Engineer Sheikh, Superintending Engineer Wath, and residents of the area.

The “No-Power Complaint through Missed Call” facility is possibly the only kind of facility in the country. Now, consumers will have no need to call the call centre in the event of power disruption. They can give a ‘missed call’ from their registered mobile phone to the designated number 18001021825. Their complaints of power disruption would get noted down through automated service at Consumers Complaints Service Centre. Consumers will have to get their mobile phone number registered for availing the facility.

For registration of their mobile phone numbers, the consumers can send a message as RMN space 12-digit consumer number to 8123160205. After completing the process, an SMS will confirm the registration. The already registered consumers need not complete the process.

The current toll free call centre 18003139600 facility will continue to be operation for consumers to lodge their complaints.
