Sloppy attitude of colleges may rob SC students of scholarships

: The students doing graduation and post-graduation in RTMNU affiliated colleges could be robbed of scholarships of second year. The sloppy attitude could be blamed for deprivation of scholarships for these students.

In fact, it is the responsibility of concerned college managements to update scheduled caste students about scholarship related information immediately after they take admissions in first year. The colleges have to submit all scholarship related documents of such students to RTMNU’s Scholarship Department. In the second year of students’ academic session, renewal of the documents is just to be done and submit the same to RTMNU. Thereafter, the Scholarship Department forwards the documents to Social Welfare Department for further action. However, some of the colleges have turned ‘Late Lateef’ in this matter. The result is disastrous for the students as forms of hundreds of students have not reached the Scholarship Department of RTMNU yet.

The Social Welfare Department deposits scholarship amounts of students to the concerned colleges. The college managements in turn deposit the scholarship money in bank accounts of the students after deduction of tuition fees and other various charges. But due to sluggish attitude of colleges not only deprive the students of scholarships but force them pay all the charges of colleges.
