Silver ornaments stolen from Durga Mandir in Ajni

Nagpur: Unidentified goons targeted a temple in Ajni area and decamped with silver jewelleries worth Rs 21,000. The crime took place on Friday afternoon.

The priest of the temple Pt Kaushalprasad Mishra (45), resident of Ajni Railway Quarters, had gone out of station for performing a puja on Friday. Between 11.30 am and 4 pm, some unidentified elements broke open the grill of sanctum sanctorum of Durga Mandir, situated at a ground opposite TRS Loco Shed, Ajni Railway Quarters, and laid their hands on silver crown and umbrella worth Rs 21,000.

Ajni PSI Mohod has registered a case under Section 380 of IPC against the unidentified burglars and mounted a search to nab them.
