Nagpur: Former Shiv Sena Corporator Bandu Talvekar has registered a case against BJP MLC Girish Vyas and his supporters for damaging his car after a wordy duel on April 29.
In his ccomplaint, Talvekar told Jaripatka police that he had met Vyas and other BJP leaders at MHADA Square after inaugural of Manas Mandir Hospital situated on Nari Road on April 29. Vyas, after noticing “Corporator” written on Talvekar’s car, had commented that “Talvekarji, you have lost the NMC election. Erase the Corporator word and rewrite as ex-Corporator.” In reply, Talvekar said, “NMC election is not the last election” and left the place.
On the same midnight, Talvekar alleged, some supporters of Vyas damaged his Tata Safari car (MH-49/U 0399) for erasing “Corporator” word. Tavekar has condemned the ransacking of the car. BJP was angry over a morcha taken out by Shiv Sena over the issue of ‘misuse’ of EVM. Out of this grudge, the BJP workers damaged his car, Talvekar alleged.
“I have lodged a complaint with Jaripatka Police Station in this connection. The misdeed of BJP men has been captured in a CCTV camera installed at a nearby ATM centre. I have demanded immediate arrest of the accused or else a strong agitation will be launched,” Talvekar warned.
