Senate members question MKCL’s working

Nagpur News: The working of Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL) was put in questions by senate members regarding e-facilities to be provided to the students. Senate members claimed that Rs 50 has been charged per student but they are not getting any advantage of these facilities.

Senate member Abhisar Adnyey informed that Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University charged Rs 50 per students in the year 2005-06. Under this scheme, students were provided with log in ID and password to keep them updated with educational activities of RTMNU, research, vacancies in various organizations, information related to examinations and scholarships, facility to fill on-line examinations forms, etc.

Answering to the questions put by senate members, President said that out of the 43,881 students 32,000 were given on-line registration in the year 2008-09. In the year 2009-10, 32,732 students from 228 colleges were logged in. Out of 1,28,970 students, 93,899 students were registered on-line in the year 2010-11. 27,282 students from 426 colleges were given log in IDs in the year 2011-12.
