Nagpur: Prominent industrial associations of the Vidarbha Region viz. Vidarbha Industries Association, National Institute of Personnel Management, Butibori Manufacturers Association are jointly organizing one day Seminar for the industries & professionals of the Vidarbha Region on “LIBERALISING LABOUR LAWS – PROS & CONS” on Thursday, 10th November, 2016 from 9.30 am to 05.30 pm at Hotel Centre Point, Ramdaspeth, Nagpur.

In the prevailing industrial situation, there is a lot of ambiguity related to the reforms introduced by the Indian Government with regards to its’ implementation and implications. Therefore, participating associations in Vidarbha have jointly come together to spread clarity on these topics with the help of renowned experts in these subjects.

The program is also aimed at discussing the major pain areas / challenges in Labour Laws in the industrial development of Vidarbha Region, thereby deducing a common consensus which would then be shared with Ministry of Labour for their consideration and necessary amendments/clarifications for the betterment of the industry and the labor force.

The session would encompass Labour Reforms related to Industrial Relations: Industrial Disputes, Bombay Industrial Relations Act, Mathadi Act, Contract Labour Act, MRTU and PULP Act, Minimum Wages, etc. Labour Reforms related to Social Security : Payment of Bonus Act, Prevention of Sexual Harassment, ESIC, Maternity Benefit Act, Provident Fund Act, etc. Knowledge sharing from overseas Executive Program on HR & Industry Development Association : Best HR IR practices, Laws, Challenges and Government Support of Japan, Indonesia, China, Thailand, Turkey, Mongolia & SAARK Countries.

The eminent speakers from Mumbai, Nandini Sarkar, Director, C-QUEL Management Services. Sushobhan Sarkar, Director, C-QUEL Management Services, Dr. R. Krishna Murthy, Director, Industrial Relations Institute of India and Mr. Ghanshyam Mhatre, General Manager – HR, RPG Group shall be presenting their views on these topics and will be interacting with the delegates at the seminar to make it a meaningful “exchange of knowledge” session for all.
