A scooter rider died while his friend and two others got injured when the scooter which he was riding collided with a speeding motorcycle. The deceased Ahmed Nisar Ahmed, 50, resident of Shanti Nagar succumbed to his injuries while being taken to the hospital. He was declared brought dead at Mayo hospital. Panchpaoli police have registered the case of reckless driving against Ahmed while all three injured were sent to the hospital for treatment.
Ahmed was riding through Mehndibagh flyover on Monday night when he suddenly lost balance and rammed his vehicle into a motorcycle coming from opposite direction. Swapnil Anandrao Kekade, 19 was on the motorcycle with his friend Gaurav Yashwant Giri riding pillion. Ahmed too was accompanied with his friend Mohammed Salim.
Following the accident, Ahmed got unconscious while the other three got injured. He was rushed to Mayo hospital but could not be saved.
All the three injured have been admitted to Mayo hospital. On the complaint of Swapnil, police lodged report against the deceased.
