Nagpur Durga Pooja : Sarbajanin Durgotsava Katol Road CPWD Govt. Colony, Nagpur , more commonly known as Katol Road Durga Puja is cele brating its 52nd year .
This year the 52nd Year Celebration the five day function depict the rich cultural heritage of Ma Shakti was started from 19/10/2012.
The main attraction was the main entrance gate which will of an approximate size 85 Feet x 40 Feet(in Height), Lighting, with numerous cultural function
Sarbajanin Durgotsava was started way back in 1961, with a couple of people and in a very small scale, from the time of the starting it was know for its cultural heritage and the decoration.
Since then it has grown in leaps, to be one of the biggest Durga Puja Celebration in Nagpur, still holding its grounds on the rituals, cultural heritage, the pandal and the cultural functions.
An estimated 15,000 to 25,000 people visit the pandal during evening time for darshan and arti .
The Durga Puja celebration at Katol Road is one of the oldest and most popular in Nagpur city. Navami celebrations inside the beautiful, trademark pastel Pandal this year were replete with a cultural programme that included classical dance performances, as well as a Nritya Natika (dance- drama) worthy of applause.
