Nagpur: In a shocking incident, some miscreants reportedly chopped and stole a sandalwood tree from the official bungalow of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone 1, Noorul Hasan in Civil Lines on Sunday. A case was registered by the Sadar police in this regard.
Confirming the incident, DCP Hasan said that the theft took place during the dark hours of Sunday. The tree was near the servant’s quarter, he said.

After registering the case, Sadar police have started the probe, he added. Sadar police said that the CCTV footage was being checked to get a clue about the persons involved in the theft.
