The wheels of justice that move so notoriously slowly for common Indians, have moved with tremendous
“alacrity and urgency” for Salman Khan and not only was his appeal admitted, and heard all within 3 hours, he has also been granted bail for two days.

Well known Supreme Court Advocate Harish Salve, of Nagpur origin, was flown in from Delhi to file the appeal on his behalf.

His arguement before the High Court was simple – ‘You cannot send a man to jail without getting the full copy of the judgement’. Accepting this plea, the actor has been granted two days’ bail and will be going home by tonight. So far, Salman’s lawyer has only recieved operative part of the court order, not the full order.

As this bit of news unfolds Salman is still in the sessions court. The bail order of the High Court will be taken to the same judge who passed his order, and once he ratifies it, Salman can get out on bail.

Meanwhile, his family has furnished medical certificates showing Salman suffers from both neurological and heart conditions.
