Nagpur Two students of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University – Nikita Raut and Prajakta Godbole – brought laurels to their alma mater by winning gold and two medals in Inter-University Athletics Half Marathon and All India Cross Country contest organised at Mangalore recently.
In the 21-km Half Marathon, Nikita Raut won the first position and bagged gold medal. Similarly, in the 10-km race of All India Cross Country contest, Prajakta Godbole bagged second place and third place in 5-km race. By winning two medals in the contest, Prajakta broke the record and created history.
For their outstanding feat, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad felicitated Nikita Raut and Prajakta Godbole by presenting them ‘Pride of India’ award. ABVP’s Mahanagar Secretary Vaibhav Bawankar, Joint Secretary Amit Patle, Karan Khandare, and others were present the function.
