Nagpur News : Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) have issued a notification to all it’s affiliated colleges asking them to take action against teachers who have alleged bogus degrees of CMJ University Meghalaya(Shillong).

Actually, last year the Meghalya Government had banned CMJ University for allegedly issuing bogus PhD degrees. The CMJ University Meghalaya(Shillong) was charging a hefty amount from the candidates and were issuing degrees in a very short period of time.

The University Grants commission(UGC) had also issued inquiry and inspection of these degrees in the universities all over India. RTMNU had also formed a 5 member committee to inspect such degree holders in the university. A Lecturer from an engineering college having this degree was also removed from his services, after this issue came into light.

According to information many students from Nagpur had taken BA, B.Com and B.SC degrees from CMJ university. On July 17, RTMNU has sent letters to all it’s affiliated colleges along with the committees report.
