Nagpur: The issue of construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya is again in the airs even before polling for 2019 Lok Sabha elections takes place. Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), on the occasion of Hindu New Year on Saturday, organised a programme to chant “Ram Naam’ mantra across the country. In such programme in Nagpur too, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat participated and chanted ‘Ram Naam’ mantra enthusiastically. The programme was held in a Hanuman Temple in city.

The chanting of ‘Ram Naam’ mantra by Dr Bhagwat is being seen as a subtle hint for construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya at the earliest.

It may be recalled that the Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray had made a big statement. He had announced that if the work of construction of Ram Temple does not progress then he will visit Ayodhya again. Later, in an interview to party mouthpiece ‘Saamnaa,’ Thackeray had said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be at the helm for one more tenure. Talking to Sanjay Raut in the interview, Uddhav had said, “I am working for Congress-free agenda and it will be achieved in the Lok Sabha elections.”

Senior BJP leader Uma Bharti too had made a significant statement of Ram Mandir. She had said, “I will play the political game tactfully. The way Somnath Mandir was constructed, Ram Temple should also be built the same manner. All political parties will be asked to unite on this issue.”
