Nagpur: Talented shuttler Ritika Thaker of Nagpur added another feather to her cap by becoming the first girl from Nagpur to reach Semi Finals in her age group in an international tournament.
She has stormed in semi final at hutzor U 17 international in Israel. She beat Linoy Tamanev of Israel 21/6 and 21/9 and then went on the beat Efremia Hadjisolomou of Cyprus 21/9 and 21/7 to reach semis.
Winning 3 out of 4 league has assured her a place in the semis. She plays her semis in the morning session and the finals are to be held in the afternoon session.
Ritika trains under Robin Simon and Ajay Dayal and is a student of CDS school. Speaking from Israel she says that she will try her best to win the title and make her country’s name.
