Relatives create ruckus in Lata Mangeshkar Hospital after death of infant

Relatives of an infant, who died of dengue in Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, created a ruckus in the hospital premises and damaged the property.

According to information, six-month-old Sheikh Hasnin Sheikh Sohail was admitted to Lata Mangeshkar Hospital on November 22 with symptoms of Dengue. During treatment he breathed his last on Sunday at 3.30 pm. Relatives of the infant alleged that Sheikh Hasnin died due to sheer negligence of hospital authorities. Unidentified 10-12 persons broke the window glasses of the hospital and damaged the hospital property.

On the complaint of Chandrashekhar Deshmukh (38), a resident of Shivaji Nagar, Ambazari, Sitabuldi Police registered a case under Sections 143, 147, 149, and 427 read with sub sections 4 of Medicare Service Persons and Medical Service Institution (Prevention of Violence, Damage, or Loss to Property) Act, Maharashtra 2010.
