Nagpur: In a bid to avoid the fate of Nagpur metro to meet that of other metros (except Delhi), NMRCL (Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Limited), has initiated several steps in the direction.
The dooms of Jaipur and Bangalore metro which have struggled really hard to attain tiny bits of profit have already alerted the officials administering ‘Majhi Metro’. The NMRCL has decided to recover 35 percent of the total project cost from Property development.
In addition to the same, Brijesh Dixit, head, Majhi Metro has claimed that maximum part of project cost will be recovered by property development.

“We have already started receiving the offers of investment. Several renowned companies have appealed to name metro stations after them”, he said.
“However, as of now, we have not made any decision on these. But, we are still considering the same”, he added.
