Raksha Bandhan Special Recipe Apple Rabdi


Epicureans on the special day of Rakshan Bandhan can treat their taste buds with luscious and creamy rabdi which is one irresistible dessert. And now it has a fruity twist. Apple rabdi is not only healthy but will leave your taste buds taunting long after the cup is empty.

Preparation Time : 5 minutes
Cooking Time : 30 minutes (Makes 4 servings)

3 cups milk
2 1/2 tbsp sugar
3/4 cup peeled and grated apples
3 tbsp  sliced almonds
1/2 tsp cardamom powder

1. Heat a broad non-stick pan, add the milk and cook on a medium flame for 20 to 25 minutes, while stirring occasionally or till the mixture reduces to half.
2. Add the sugar and apples and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
3. Sprinkle almonds and cardamom powder and mix well.
4. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours and serve chilled.
