Railway police seized 60 kg Ganja from train

Nagpur News : 60 kilo ganja worth Rs 6.60 lakh was seized by Railway police from Howrah-Pune Azad Hind express on Wednesday afternoon. The major achievement was by the joint efforts of Lohmarg police and RPF following a tip-off about the ganja being transported.

Five sacks filled with Ganja were found near the bathroom of general department. Police raided the train when it just reached on platform no. 3 at central railway station at around 3.55 pm.

GRP PSI Nitin Chandra Raj Kumar and a team from RPF immediately conducted search for the Ganja bags and found near the bathroom.
Police told that they interrogated many people and tried hard to identify the culprit behind transporting Ganja but failed to nab him.
Later, police has registered a case against an unidentified accused. This is second time; Railway police has seized Ganja while been transported through trains.

Earlier, railway cops has seized 134 kilo Ganja worth Rs 8 lakh form Puri Ahmedabad express on November 30 last year.Three people were arrested in the case.Police have been searching for the culprit involved in transporting the Ganja bags.
