Nagpur: Two young men were seriously injured after a Polo car allegedly reversed suddenly and rammed into their motorcycle near Sai Temple on Wardha Road in Nagpur early Monday morning.
The impact was so severe that the motorcycle was badly damaged, with several parts breaking off. The car driver allegedly fled the spot immediately after the accident, prompting Dhantoli police to launch a search.

The accident occurred at around 5.15 am near Sai Temple on Wardha Road. According to preliminary information, Tanmay Raut and Lobash Kale were travelling on a motorcycle from Gorewada towards Butibori.
As the two were proceeding along the road, a Polo car travelling in front of them allegedly suddenly moved into reverse. The motorcyclists reportedly had little time to react and were unable to avoid the vehicle.
The car struck the motorcycle with considerable force, throwing the riders off balance and leaving both of them seriously injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged in the collision.
People who witnessed the accident rushed to the spot and arranged for the injured youths to be taken to a hospital. They are currently undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, the Polo driver allegedly abandoned the scene and fled before police arrived.
After receiving information about the accident, Dhantoli police registered a case and began an investigation. Police are examining available CCTV footage and other evidence to identify and trace the absconding driver.
Investigators are also trying to establish the exact circumstances leading to the sudden reversing of the vehicle and determine responsibility for the accident.
