Nagpur:In a bid to instill a sense of responsibility and awareness among students, Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr. Ravindra Kumar Singhal addressed the students of Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s Haji Abdul Majid Leader Urdu Secondary School, Bhanakheda. He urged students to stay away from excessive mobile phone usage, drug addiction, and the misuse of social media.
Dr. Singhal, along with his team, visited the school as part of the Student Police Cadet (SPC) program to counsel students on various important issues. Key officers present included Nodal Officer Mr. Satish Farkate, Police Inspector Mr. Sandeep Buwa from Tehsil Police Station, Mr. Sanjay Pandey, Traffic Department Officer Mr. Raut, and SPC team members Mr. Shantaram Thombre and Mr. Rajkumar Kodape. School Inspector Mrs. Seema Khobragade and Headmaster Mr. Sudhir Kormkar, along with a large number of students, were also in attendance.
During his interaction, Dr. Singhal emphasized the dangers of cybercrime, the need for traffic rule awareness, and the consequences of mobile misuse and drug abuse. He provided valuable advice on personal safety, including recognizing “good touch” and “bad touch,” and stressed the importance of treating police officers as friends rather than figures of fear.
He encouraged students to excel in various fields and shared real-life examples to inspire them to pursue their career goals. His lighthearted and engaging approach helped build a strong rapport with the students.
Dr. Singhal’s friendly demeanor left a lasting impression, as he took selfies with the students and engaged in friendly conversations, reinforcing the message that the police are there to help and protect.
Additionally, SPC team member Mr. Agarkar educated the students on the dangers of social media fraud and how to avoid falling victim to online scams. The program was well-organized, with Mrs. Naushin Suhail managing the event smoothly.
