Pharma students demonstrate at VC’s office in Nagpur to demand ‘carry on’ last Tuesday August 1

Nagpur News: Pharma students of Pharmacy Colleges affiliated to Nagpur University had a sigh of relief today, as their demand for supplementary exams have been accepted by the Nagpur University .Vice Chancellor Vilas Sapkal had extended a one year relief to the students , now the students can appear for the supplementary exams. The exams will be conducted from 1st to 10th September . Saturday and Sundays also exams will be conducted. Results of the exams will be declared before 25th September.

Final year B.PHARM students are very happy with the outcome. The students had applied for M.Pharm admissions and paid for the fees, but as their subjects were back and supplementary exam were stalled they were in fix .

Last week on Thursday 1st August , hundreds of Pharmacy Students had staged demonstrations in front of the Vice Chancellor’s office pressing their demand for continuation of supplementary exam. High drama was witnessed in NU as students from far wardha came for agitation, braving rains through the day, and stood outside the varsity premises for their demands .

Nagpur University officials, Pro VC Mahesh Yenkie and Registrar Ashok Gomse had patiently heard their demands and put forth the same in the Board of Examination(BOE) meeting today. The officials took the decision keeping in mind the interest and career of the students and gave them relief for this year.

On Monday the students had started gathering in the University premises from morning. In the evening when the news was declared all were very jubilant and went home happy.
