Protagonists dare heavy rains, roar in Delhi for Vidarbha State, agitation at Jantar Mantar on

At present heavy rain is battering Delhi, and despite the watery odds, 500-600 activists are continuing the agitation for separate Vidarbha. Moreover, almost all the agitationists are non-political. The activists include Ahmed Kader, Wamanrao Chatak, Probir Chakraborti, Dhananjay Dharmik, Adv Shrihari Aane, Kailash Jogani, Balvir Singh Renu, VED President Parekh, Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce, and VID office-bearers. All are loudly shouting slogans “We demand separate Vidarbha.” “Vegala Vidarbha Jhalach Pahije.”

The protagonists of Vidarbha Statehood dared the heavy rains in Delhi and roared for separate Vidrabha. The agitation for “Vegala Vidarbha” (Separate Vidarbha) is in progress at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.

One of the leaders of the Vidarbha protagonists, Ahmed Kader said, “Apart from demand for a separate Vidarbha, our other demands include, declaring situation in Vidarbha region as wet drought, malnutrition-free Vidarbha, cheap electricity and load-shedding free Vidarbha and other demands,” Kader said.

All are loudly shouting slogans “We demand separate Vidarbha.” “Vegala Vidarbha Jhalach Pahije.”

It may be recalled that a group of Vidarbha supporters from Nagpur on Sunday left for Delhi to participate in a sit-in agitation at Jantar Mantar in Delhi to press for the demand of separate Vidarbha state.

Around 400 protagonists gathered outside Nagpur Railway station under the banner of Vidarbha Joint Action Committee  and boarded Gondwana Express at around 1 pm for Delhi to strengthen the hands of pro-Vidarbha leaders in Delhi.
