Petrol Pump Owner shot at in ramdaspeth

Nagpur news: A Petrol pump owner was looted after being shot by four robbers near his residence at Ramdaspeth. The assailants  snatched his gold chain along with Rs. 2.50 Lakh cash and fled on their motorcycle.

Victim Natwar Mundhra (55), owns a petrol pump at Nari in Jaripatka was returning home when this incident took place. The assailants intercepted his car and forced him to get down. He suffered a bullet injury on his right leg. He was rushed to Wockhardt hospital where his condition is stated to be out of danger.

This incident took place at 10:30 in the night when Mundhra was returning home from his petrol pump in a Maruti Alto 800 with the cash. The robbers were following him from Nari but he noticed them while crossing Maharajbagh. Mundhra accelerated when he realised something fishy.  After being shot Mundhra contacted his son Ashutosh and daughter Ankita and informed them about the incident.  His son Ashutosh and daughter Ankita reached within minutes along with other residents of locality and took him to hospital in ambulance.

Joint commissioner of police Sanjay Saxena, Additional Commissioner of Police Anant Shinde, Deputy Commissioner of Police Kailash Kanse, Assistant Commissioner of Police and other officers also visited the spot to supervise investigation.
