Padmaavat is not only doing brisk business in domestic markets but it is creating waves overseas as well! The film’s concept forms the very core of our existence. It is about the kings and princes, their valour, pride, dignity and above all, a woman’s drastic call to end her life to avoid Alauddin Khilji’s perverse advances. It’s rooted in our culture so obviously, there are many reasons why the film will get the desired audience here. And then we also have states banning the film.
So while people here are wasting their time in protests, Padmaavat has left audience in awe of it. The film just might become the biggest Indian release abroad. Such is the craze that people are standing in queues outside the theatres for the tickets. Even when they are managing it, shows are displaying SOLD OUT cards. That’s simply incredible!
It has already beaten Baahubali 2 and Dangal in the first day itself with its North America numbers. Later it smashed the records held by Dilwale, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai and others in the same region. From the looks of it, Padmaavat will only grow bigger and better in the coming days.
