Overwhelming response to ‘Right to Health’ rally

Nagpur: “It is our responsibility to build a happy and a healthy society for us and generations to come,” said districts guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule to mark “Right to Health” rally in the cityon Sunday morning.

The rally was organised along with a padyatra to bring about awareness on healthy living. High profile politicians and noted actor namely MP Krupal Tumane and Rohini Hattangadi participated in the rally along with hundreds of participants who wore a blue t-shirt and tied pink balloons at their bike.

With shouting slogans, the rally commenced from Yashwant Stadium and passed through various parts of city and culminated at Rajabaksha ground. As many as 2,500 cyclists and walkers gathered at the ground for the cause.

Guardian minister Bawankule shed some light on why a rally like this is important to bring about awareness in the society. Bawankule said that it is a moment of pride for all Nagpurians that “Right to Health” rally is commencing from the Second Capital and is setting a milestone for healthy living.

The rally was also participated by president of IMA (Nagpur) Dr Ajay Kate, Dr Savita Meshram, Chandu Penduke, Vishnu Manohar and others. Sea of participants waving pink balloons to mark Right to Health rally and padyatra taken out in the city on Sunday.
