Nagpur: Member of the high-level committee appointed by chief minister for investigating the sensational jailbreak engineered in Nagpur Central Jail and additional director general of police (law and order) K L Bishnoi arrived in the city on Sunday.
The jail-break incident that occurred earlier this week in Nagpur Central Jail has jolted the entire state police machinery. With startling revelations coming out, the investigation has begun to gather pace.
The ADG was present at the Nagpur Central Jail till late night with other jail officials. It is reported that he had intense discussion with police officials and jail officials. He referred various files and documents available in the jail.
On Tuesday morning, five dreaded criminals escaped from the jail. The incident put a huge question mark over the security inside the jail.
The Nagpur Central Jail is one of the high security prisons in the state. Immediately after the incident occurred, additional director general of police (prisons) Meera Borwankar too rushed to the city on Wednesday.
Following media reports about the luxurious life being led by prisoners inside the jail and mobile phones being used by inmates inside the jail has the entire police machinery and government in tension.
