Nagpur: The aggressive posture of Opposition parties continued on Day-5, the last day of first week of Winter Session. Displaying displeasure against Government, entire Opposition boycotted the proceedings and staged walk out for the entire day.

The Leader of Opposition Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, spitting fire on Government, said that the Opposition is demanding waiver of loans and special package since the Day-1 of the Session. Yesterday only seven farmers committed suicides. Government is sidelining the Opposition and acting whimsically. Today, the Opposition members were treated badly. The designated Speaker threatened to oust the agitating members of Opposition. It did not occur in the past. The Government is running the House in dictatorial manner,” stated Vikhe Patil.

NCP members, supporting the Congress, boycotted the proceedings of the House. Levelling a serious charge on Government, Ajit Pawar said that the Ruling Party itself is not interested in running the House. It is a well-planned conspiracy. Earlier, the Speaker used to preside over the Question Hour. But from the Day-1, the designated Speaker is running the House during Question Hour.

This has never happened. We charge that it is game-plane of the Government in not running the House smoothly. The Government is leveling baseless charges against Opposition of wasting people’s money. It is the Government which is insensitive towards plight of farmers. We were in Government for many years but never indulged in such tactics. The session is being held in Vidarbha but no issues of the region are being discussed in the House during Question Hour, charged Ajit Pawar.
