Nagpur: Shantinagar police, acting on inputs and painstaking investigations, nabbed a notorious vehicle lifter and seized four stolen motorcycles from his possession. With the arrest more cases of vehicle thefts could be solved.
The arrested accused has been identified as Mohd Atik Mohd Khatik (30), resident of Mominpura, near Dobinagar Kabrastan Gate. Interrogation of the accused revealed that he has stolen vehicles mainly the two-wheelers from Shantinagar, Ganeshpeth, Lakadganj, Tehsil police jurisdictions as well as in Chandrapur and Yavatmal.
Cops have seized four bikes namely Honda Shine (MH-49/W 0489), Bajaj Avenger (MH 33/H 5218), Hero Honda Passion Plus (MH 31/BJ 2100), and Hero Passion Pro having no registration number and having engine number MBLHIOWCGF56580 and Chassis No. HAIOENCGP28704. Total worth of the four seized bikes is Rs 1.60 lakh.
