Budhwar Bazaar Sakkardara Murder
Nagpur:
The Budhwar Bazaar area of Sakkardara was shaken to the core when a “Haptha” recovering goon was done to death brutally in full public view. The number of assailants has been reported to be over two. One suspect has been detained by a beat marshal and is being interrogated. However, the exact reason behind the gory murder could not be ascertained immediately.
The deceased has been identified as Ashish Sanjay Raut (22). Ashish was a history-sheeter and was externed from the city. The externment period had ended just a few months ago. The deceased Ashish Raut was facing several offences of serious nature including two murder charges and during his criminal activities had created many enemies. Previously, he used to stay in Old Somwaripeth.

Initial reports say that the deceased Ashish Raut, on the incident day, had arrived at Budhwar Bazaar on his Avenger motorcycle (MH-49/AC 1369). Most probably the deceased was on “Haptha” recovery ‘mission’ from the vegetable vendors. But this time his luck deserted him as over two men, probably the fed-up vegetable vendors, decided to end their ordeal.

They allegedly attacked the notorious goon Ashish Raut with sharp-edged weapons and heavy stones. As a result, he collapsed on the spot and died instantaneously. His blood-soaked body lay on the middle of the road covered with a white bed-sheet when the last reports came in.

Upon receiving information about the daylight murder, a team of Sakkardara police and Crime Branch sleuths reached the spot and started their investigation. A suspect has been detained and is being interrogated.
