Nagpur :
Sensation prevailed in Dhantoli as some unidentified youths, believed to be in their twenties, tricked the two young girls into their misleading information and forcefully tried to take the girls with them on Monday. However, one girl acted swiftly and slipped away from their clutches while the other was abducted. The incident has once again posed a serious question mark over the security of young girls in the city. Dhantoli police have been groping in the dark to look for the girl. As a result the cops did not get any success so far.

Police sources said the victim Sonali Rahul Shende (20) and her friend were standing near their Activa moped (MH 49, S 8826) in front of Sai Mandir, Wardha Road on Monday afternoon. Two unknown youths approached the girls and informed that their aunt was calling the girls. One of the youths took Sonali’s Activa and made her sit pillion while the other youth rode with Sonali’s friend. Sonali, who suspected intentions of the youths, tried to enquire about the matter. However, the youth gave her misleading answers which confirmed the suspicion. Sonali jumped from the moped while her friend was taken by the youths. While leaving, Sonali mobile phone and Rs 3000 cash was left in the vehicle. Sonali somehow managed to reach her house and narrated the whole incident to her parents.

Sonali, along with her parents, approached Dhantoli police and lodged an FIR. Cops registered a offence under Sections 392, 365, and 34 of the IPC against the unidentified youths. Cops have swung into action and search for the culprits has begun.
