Nagpur: In order to reduce the hassle of obtaining various permits for all Ganesh Mandals in Nagpur City, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) will implement a convenient online system for Ganesh Mandals and a single window system for all the ten zones in the next few days. This will enable the citizens to get all the permits at home, said Municipal Additional Commissioner Anchal Goyal at a press conference on Wednesday.
The press conference was held in Panjabrao Deshmukh Smriti Standing Committee Hall. On this occasion Municipal Additional Commissioner Anchal Goyal, Head of Information and Technology Department Mahesh Dhamecha, Information and Technology Officer Swapnil Lokhande and other officials were present.
Goyal said that as per the directives of the Central Pollution Control Board this year POP idols are banned. For the upcoming Ganeshotsav, all the sculptors, artists are required to get registration/license through the zone office of the municipality to create environment-friendly idols, and for the convenience of the Ganesh Mandals, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation will soon implement an online system that will be convenient and easy for the Ganesh Mandals.
Apart from this, all the ten zones will have one window arrangement. Zone wise permission, Police Department permission and No Objection Certificate, Fire Department permission and No Objection Certificate etc. required for Ganesh Mandals can be easily obtained through this online system, Anchal Goyal said.
While there is an atmosphere of excitement and joy everywhere when Ganeshotsav is celebrated, Goyal appealed to the citizens to emphasize on celebrating Ganeshotsav in an environment-friendly manner and also to install only clay idols.
